1950 Birdie Tebbetts Boston Red Sox Game Worn Road Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Boston Red Sox road jersey which was donned by four time All Star catcher Birdie Tebbetts during his final season with the club in 1950. Wilson manufacturer and Tim McAuliffe distributor tags sewn in collar of jersey along with a felt swatch reading "Tebbetts". Team name (Boston) and uniform number (8) are sewn to the jersey in navy felt. A National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues Golden Anniversary patch is present on the left sleeve, which along with restoration of "Boston" to the front of the jersey, indicates that the jersey was sent down for minor league use following the 1950 season.
