1948-69 Ted Williams Boston Red Sox Washington Senators "Seattle Times Archives" Original Photos (ST Archives Hologram/MEARS LOA) - Lot of 19

This lot of 20 photos features the Splendid Splinter, Ted Williams, at various points between the late 1940's to late 1960's with the Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals. Measurements range from 6.5" x 8" to 8" x 10". Photos contain various handwritten notations, affixed cutlines and date & photographer stamps on their reverse. Seattle Times Archives Hologram. The Seattle Times originated as the Seattle Press-Times, a four page newspaper founded in 1891 with a daily circulation of 3,500, which Maine teacher and attorney Alden J. Blethen bought in 1896. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
