1948-56 Connie Mack William Harridge Dual Signed OAL Harridge Baseball (JSA)

Offered is an AJ Reach Official American League William Harridge baseball dating to 1948-50 which has been signed on the sweet spot by Hall of Fame Philadelphia Athletics manager Connie Mack and by AL President William Harridge on a side panel. Ball is accompanied by a letter from the original owner detailing the provenance of the ball as a birthday gift received on August 12th 1956 from William Harridge, who was a neighbor & friend of the family. Per the letter Harridge believed at the time that it may have been the last ball ever signed by Mack as he was one of the legendary skipper's final visitors before his passing on February 8, 1956.
