Though the Dodgers weren't able to beat their crosstown rival New York Yankees in the '47 World Series, their season remains one of the most memorable in baseball history. It was during this season, when Jackie Robinson smashed baseball's color barrier. The pioneer managed to win Rookie of the Year and, in doing so, helped Brooklyn to the National League pennant. Of course, having counterparts like Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges and Duke Snider didn't hurt Brooklyn either.

Measuring approximately 11.5" x 16.5", this team photograph grants a rarely-seen glimpse of one of baseball's unforgettable teams. The reverse side displays some editorial markings. NM condition. 00252
