1943-49 Lou Gehrig New York Yankees Post Career (Death) H&B Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Bat (MEARS Authentic)

Offered for auction in this lot is a Lou Gehrig professional model H&B Louisville Slugger from after his passing which was produced to the exact recorded specifications of one of the Iron Horse's gamers. Model number G69 is stamped on the knob.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 30 ounces and measures 35" in length with a round signature model barrel and small knob. It exhibits signs of moderate use with scattered ball marks, slight dead wood on the barrel's reverse and a professionally repaired handle crack.

MEARS grades this bat as authentic.
