1939 Danny Fortmann Chicago Bears World's Fair Jacket (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Chicago Bears jacket dating to circa Danny Fortmann's 1939 season with the team. Jackets were originally issued for the team's October 22, 1939 match up with the New York Giants at the Polo Grounds as part of that year's World's Fair. King Sportswear Company tag with faded handwritten and stamped notations sewn in tail with a size 48 tag while "Chicago" is sewn across the front, Fortmann's number 21 is sewn to the sleeve, "Bears" is sewn to the hood and "Bears" & a 1939 World's Fair design are sewn to the reverse.
