Lot #1019:

1939-46 Joe DiMaggio New York Yankees Exhibit Card Issued in 1950s

We could imagine how many kids saddled up to the Exhibit machine with a penny in hand hoping against hope the card dispensed would read "Cordially, Joe DiMaggio".

More often than not, the child would leave disappointed. The possessor of this card was lucky enough to walk away with Joltin' Joe.

Offered is an Exhibit of DiMaggio (listed as 1939-46 but issued in the 1950s) showing his backswing.

The corners have rounded and there are two minor stains on the right corner. At least one crease is apparent on the top. From Collection of MEARS Staff.
