Buddy Rosar was a vacuum behind the plate for the Yankees, Indians and Philadelphia A's. Despite playing second fiddle to Bill Dickey, Rosar received All-Star nods on five occasions during his 13-year career. He also was played on two Yankees teams which won World Series titles.
This cap served Rosar during his tenure in pinstripes. Heavy used is exhibited on the inside as the leather headband is gingerly hanging on. The cap shows heavy use with dirt marks and sweat staining still apparent. "W. Rosar" is embroidered in the headband in green thread for identification purposes.
The front right bill is chipped.
Overall, a stellar relic from when the Yankees were in the midst of yet another dynasty.
