Vosmick came up with the Indians in 1930 where he played until 1936. During that time, he was an All Star fielder in 1935 during a pretty bleak era for the Indians. He played for the Red Sox in 1938-39 and did a one year stint with the Browns in 1937. During his 11 seasons in the American League, he earned a .311 batting average before moving to the National League in 1940-41 when he joined the Bums, helping them to their first National League Championship since 1916.
This Vosmick bat is the only example ever recorded in the MEARS bat index. The cool thing about this impossible bat is that it dates to the era in which he played on the 1941 Brooklyn Dodgers National League Championship team. The center brand dates this bat to the 1937-41 era. If you have been wanting to put together a collection of the 1941 Bums, this bat would have to be a must have as it would probably be a long time before another example comes down the pike.
