Offered for auction in this lot is a John Heving professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger is a pre-model number bat with a signature barrel and the 1934-44 period H&B center label.
This ash bat currently weighs 32 ounces and measures 35" in length. The bat has a round barrel & small knob and matches known player factory records. It exhibits heavy use with some dead wood evident. Bat is side written "John Heving 6-10-36."
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use, 2 points for side writing and loses half a point for a chip on the knob resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9.5.
