Ray Nitschke was a special man. One fan sent his hero an Illinois license plate from Nitschke's year of birth as a gift.

The popular Packer kept this until the day of his death. The plate has absorbed heavy oxidation on both sides. A photo of Nitschke and note to him are taped to the reverse.

Authentication is secured with a Nitschke family letter.
