Walter Maranville was given the nickname Rabbit because he stood but 5-feet, 5-inches tall. Despite his smallr stature, Maranville could hit a baseball. When his career was finished, Maranville had accumulated over 2,600 hits and his hi-jinks were a thing of legend.
Maranville entered the Hall of Fame a mere six months after his death. Signatures of Maranville are at a severe shortage, especially for Hall of Fame collectors. What makes this ONL (Heyder) baseball noteworthy is that is contains a sweet spot Maranville penning but the orb also sports an autograph of fellow Hall of Famer Chuck Klein. The Klein penning has faded somewhat.
The Maranville penning does display as a single.
Others who signed include: Bob Brown and one more. "Betty Ford Oh Nuts" is written on a separate side panel. The ball has toned and does show signs of possible game use.
