During his incomparable playing career, Babe Ruth's legend stretched well beyond American soil. In 1934, just years before America and Japan were to be pitted against one another in World War II, the baseball demigod-turned U.S. Ambassador toured Japan, while playing in a series of exhibition games. Ruth is pictured alongside an All-Japan team just outside Osaka in this vintage 8" x 10" photograph.

Measures 8" x 10". Original file copy photo, printed circa 1970 photo, with the following notations on reverse: The Sporting News hologram, 1934. (00539)
