Offered for auction in this lot is a Russ Van Atta professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger is a pre-model number bat with a block letter last name only barrel and the 1931 H&B center label.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 30 ounces and measures 34" in length. The bat has a round barrel & regular knob and matches known player factory records. It exhibits heavy use with medium ball marks and stitch marks. Bat is side written "Van Atta 8-13-31 St. Paul BBC."

Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use and 2 points for side writing resulting in a grade of MEARS A10.
