This original, first generation photo, originated from one of the newspaper archives from the John Rogers Photo Archives.
Measures 8" x 10". One of the greatest athletes of his generation and arguably of all time, Jim Thorpe, trades in his running shoes for an Indian Headdress. Thorpe will don this authentic Indian attire for his motion picture debut in 1931. On the Reverse: Associated Press photographer's stamp, affixed description, editor's markings, numbered stamp.
