Hack Wilson was anything but a one-year wonder. He was posthumously elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. But in 1930, Wilson caught lightning in a bottle on a nightly basis as he drove in a mind-boggling 191 runs. The record has yet to be seriously challenged. Ballplayers can knock in 100 runs in the first half of the season, but the rigors usually have an affect on the second half numbers.
Compliments of Blue Ribbon Malt is this panoramic poster - a healthy 38" x 11". Featured on this are the following Cubs from 1930: Wilson (bottom right corner), Les Bell, Fred Blake, Guy Bush, Ki Ki Cuyler, Eddie Farrell, Charlie Grimm, Gabby Hartnett, Cliff Heathcote, George Kelly, Zack Taylor, Al Shealy, Charley Root, Jesse Petty, Bob Osborn, Joe McCarthy and a few more ballplayers. I just noticed that they are now cutting these cards out of the picture and having them graded.
Framed, measures 38" x 11".
