Offered is a vintage Hanna Batrite Georgia Driver "Radcliff Style" bat with 34 for 34" stamped on the knob. Ted has signed the bat as follows: 1929 Crawfords Ted Double Duty Radcliff game used bat. We have no way to tell if this Radcliff Style bat was made for Ted or another Radcliff and the 4 on the knob would indicate a retail model bat yet many of the negro league players, according to Louisville Slugger factory records, were shipped player model retail bats. Given the rarity of any Negro League game used bat and as to whether or not this bat was actually made for and used by Ted, it is a wonderful bat for any Negro League collection especially given that Ted is in the Hall of Fame. As to condition, almost all of the original foil printing remains intact while the bat remains uncracked with a beautiful factory finish with evidence of heavy game use and ball marks on all sides of the hitting surface. The bat weighs 33.8 oz. MEARS auction LOA. Estimated value $500-1000. 00215
