Offered is an official 1928-1933 NL baseball (John Heydler, President), signed by 24 members of the 1930 New York Giants. Despite strong performances by the powerhouse St. Louis Cardinals & the Chicago Cubs that year, McGraw & Co. kept the 1930 season tight in every respect (winning 87 games!), finishing only a handful of victories out of 1st. This star-studded squad includes 7 Hall of Famers, including legendary manager John McGraw, Mel (“Melvin”) Ott, Carl Hubbell, Dave Bancroft (his only year as a Giant), Bill Terry, Travis Jackson, & Fred Lindstrom. Though the signatures exhibit various degrees of fading throughout, only three are illegible. Clean & bright, with strong manufacturer’s stampings (including President Heydler’s facsimile signature), the remarkable condition of the baseball itself allows for easier identification & display of these important signatures. In addition to the Hall of Famers are autographs of 1930 Giants Roy Parmelee, Chick Fullis, Fred Leach, Jim Mooney, Bill Walker, Sam leslie, Clarence Mitchell, Ethan Allen, John Berly, Joe Heving, Bill Hunnefield, Johnny Vergez, Bob O’Farrell & Freddie Fitzsimmons.
