Lot #1194:

1929 Frank Chance Reach Side Written Bat - Chicago Cubs - (MEARS LOA)

This is a really nice 34.5"- 38.8 oz. block letter last name only bat that is a retail model bat that was used and returned to Louisville as side written Tetley 7-5-29. The bat has been used as evidenced by swelling on the back, cleat marks, a 7" handle crack and the remains of the original shipping labels. The factory stamps are perfect. A really handsome Frank Chance bat with just a hint of minor grain separation. Collection of MEARS staff. MEARS auction LOA.
