Offered for auction in this lot is an Eddie Moore professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger is a pre-model number bat with a signature barrel and the 1921-31 period H&B center label.
This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 36 ounces and measures 36" in length. The bat has a round barrel & regular knob and matches known player factory records. It exhibits heavy use with medium ball marks, stitch marks and dead wood on the reverse of the barrel. The bat is sidewritten "Moore 1928" and the handle remains uncracked.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use, 2 points for side writing and loses half a point for deadwood resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9.5.
