1928 Berkeley High School Yearbook Featuring Augie Galan

Offered for auction in this lot is a 1928 edition of the Olla Podrida, the yearbook for Berkeley High School in Berkeley, California. Featured in its pages is Augie Galan who would go on to have a 16 year big league career spent mostly with the Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers. Each player on the team is afforded a small write up and Galan's earliest scouting report reads "August Galan was a shortstop who could cover plenty of ground, and hit. He will be on had next year."
