A Babe Ruth autograph is a requisite for any true baseball collection. The affable Ruth was always a good signer and never turned down a request to sign his name for a fan. Young and old clamored to the super-sized slugger on a daily basis.

Ruth hit home runs at a unparalleled rate and even hit more round trippers than other teams could. This Official American League Ban Johnson ball was signed for our consignor's grandfather in the 1920s on the sweet spot. This is also signed by more Yankees team members. We can make out Benny Bengough's on the extreme east side panel. JSA has also found signatures of Art Jorgens and Ruth's favorite bat boy Eddie Bennett.

Ruth aficionados will be glad to know that this ball displays as a single. The other names are lost due to the affects of time. But the Ruth has been preserved and will afford one lucky bidder a chance to own a Ruth autograph. There is some scuffing on the unmistakable "R" on Ruth but this is still eminently displayable.

Because baseballs were expensive and fans rarely could afford to buy a ball for only autographs, it is highly probable this was used in game action.

There is moderate age induced toning on this splendid sphere.
