1927 Gene Tunney vs. Jack Dempsey II Official's Instructions & Usher Ribbon First Million Dollar Fight The Long Count

Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney met for the second time on Sept. 22, 1927 in what turned out to be boxing's first million dollar fight. Tunney survived a "long count" and won by decision. The fight was boxing's most controversial event to date.

From the fight is this usher's ribbon which measures 17" long. "Usher Sergeant Zone 6 R.I.N.G. Tunney-Dempsey Boxing Exhibition Soldier Field Chicago, Sept. 22, 1927" is printed on front. There are a few folds and creases visible.

Also included is an instruction booklet to the officials and other employees in preparation for the match. There is corner wear and some ripping, but the publication is complete. Every conceivable subject is covered in the comprehensive guide.
