This lot of three photos features perhaps the most famous pair of baseballing brothers to ever play the game, Lloyd & Paul Waner. Max Carey is also pictured in this lot with Little and Big Poison. Measurements range from 6" x 8" to 8" x 10". Photos contain various handwritten notations, affixed cutlines and date & photographer's stamps on their reverse. Boston Herald Archives Holograms. (L0311)

The original Boston Herald was founded in 1846 by a group of Boston printers jointly under the name of John A. French & Company. The paper was published as a single two-sided sheet, selling for one cent. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
