Offered for auction in this lot is a Bob Meusel professional model Diamond Ace Zinn Beck 100 Series bat. This is a pre-model number bat with the player's name appearing in block letters beneath the Zinn Beck 100 Series center label.
This ash bat currently weighs 34 ounces and measures 35" in length. The bat has a round barrel & small knob and matches recorded player specifications. It exhibits heavy use with heavy ball marks, stitch marks, dead wood on the reverse of the barrel and some grain swelling. There is a 6" handle crack with no separation and 8 vintage nails; 3 in the handle and 5 in the barrel.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player specifications, 3 points for use and loses 1 point for deadwood resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.
