1923-30 Bob Meusel New York Yankees Zinn Beck Extra Special Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS Authentic) Stormy Hayes Sidewritten

Featured in this lot is a Bob Meusel professional model Zinn Beck Extra Special game used bat from his time with the New York Yankees in the 1920's. This bat is consistent with Meusel gamers examined by MEARS in the past and specifically one offered in our June 2009 auction. Bat was gifted to Stormy Hayes who used it and returned it to the factory as evidenced by the side writing reading "Stormy Hayes 6-21-28."

This ash bat currently weighs 34 ounces and measures 35" in length with a round barrel and small knob. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks throughout and a 8" H crack in the handle.

MEARS grades this bat as authentic.
