Offered for auction in this lot is a Gene Valla professional model Spalding bat. This is a pre-model number bat which features the player's name in block letters on the barrel along with the Spalding 1907-25 period center label.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 37 ounces and measures 35" in length. The bat has a round barrel & regular knob and matches recorded player specifications. Heavy use is evident through the discoloration and small piece missing from the barrel's end.

MEARS has graded this bat as authentic.
