Offered is a professional model Ty Lober game used H&B Louisville Slugger dating to circa his 1921 season with the Milwaukee Brewers on the American Association. Bat is sidewritten "Wm. McKechnie 8-13-21 Minneapolis BBC" indicating that the Hall of Fame Pirates & Reds manager came into possession of the bat at some point during his 1921 season with Minneapolis (also in the American Association) and sent it back to H&B, likely to have bats made for himself in the same style. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 38.5 ounces and shows heavy use with grain swelling, slight deadwood and a 14" handle crack with a period repair attempt. Bat receives 5 points for matching factory records, 3 points for use and 2 points for the sidewriting with one point deducted for the handle crack resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9. (83K0643)
