Lot #1607:

1921-31 Bob Meusel H&B Louisville Slugger Signature Model 125 Store Model Bat (possible gamer) - 1927 New York Yankees Murderers Row (MEARS LOA)

This is an unusual bat in that it does not appear in any of our catalogs yet the bat is exactly as a game bat should be having been made based on a Meusel gamer in that it is a signature model, pre model number, 35”-35 oz and is just like any game bat except it has 35 stamped on the knob. For evidence of inch marked game bats used in the major leagues, you might want to read the article on these on this site. Regardless, it is being sold as an authentic retail model bat but matches all player game used specs. Given that game used Meusel 125 models sell in excess of $5K, this would be a great filler for that 1927 Yankees hole in your collection.

There is a 6 1/2" crack on the handle which has been haphazardly repaired with a nail. Collection of MEARS Staff C0774
