Offered for auction in this lot is a Lewis Fonseca professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger is a pre-model number bat with a signature barrel and the 1921-31 period H&B center label.
This ash bat currently weighs 37 ounces and measures 35" in length. The bat has a round barrel & small knob and matches known factory records. It exhibits heavy use with heavy ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, dead wood, cleat marks and 14 period bat boy nails on the reverse of the barrel. The handle remains uncracked.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records and 3 points for use and loses half of a point for light 125 stamping resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.5.
