1915-28 circa Game Worn Basketball Uniform w/ Checkered Sweater Jersey & Trunks (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a game worn basketball uniform likely dating to circa 1915-28. Jersey is constructed of a sweater like material and features a red checker pattern with a VL&A Chicago Sporting Goods Exclusive tag sewn in the tail and a black felt number 2 sewn to the reverse. Jersey is accompanied by matching padded shorts which feature a Spalding manufacturer's label sewn in the waistband adjacent to a strip stamped with "8B 34". Heavy use shown to jersey while shorts show moderate use. (79G0132)
