Frank Doubleday was the man who helped create Doubleday & McClure Company in the 1880s. The feather in Doubleday's cap was when he published Rudyard Kipling's works.

Offered is a document, on Doubleday, Paige & Company letterhead, signed by the famous publisher in black fountain pen. The typed letter is still legible but it has faded somewhat. However, the penning is flawless.

Framed, this measures 17 1/2" x 18 1/2".
