Offered is a 3/4" pinback button dating to 1896. Front portrays Uncle Sam holding a five cent Sporting Life news sheet while "Sporting Life Baseball Guns Cycling" is printed around the borders. Reverse features an insert which reads "The Whitehead & Hiag Co. Newark NJ Patented July 17 1894 April 14 1896 July 21 1896". Pinback has been slabbed by PSA and awarded a grade of EX-MT 6. (62P0391)
