Offered here is a very intriguing silver-plated orginal 1890 presentational water pitcher, which was awarded to the winner by "T.J. Shaw and Co." during an N.E.A.R. Association Labor Day Canoe Race. This 16" trophy sits in its original pouring stand and exhibits very solid condition for a piece that's more than 100 years old. Rating at EX condition, this piece features "N.E.A.R. Assn. CANOE RACE PRESENTED BY T.J. SHAW and CO." engraved on its lid and an engraving by the company that produced the pitcher on the bottom: "MF"D & PLATED BY REED & BARTON PATENTED AUG. 4 1868 MAY 13, 1879. Estimate $200/300
