Offered is a vintage catcher's mask which dates to the late 1800's/early 1900's. Five leather pads circle the perimeter of the cage while a leather chin rest and adjustable forehead rest are also present to provide maximum comfort and protection. Cage is constructed of three horizontal bars below the eyes and two above with a central vertical bar joining the two. Two additional vertical bars are also present on both the upper and lower half of the cage to provide additional reinforcement. A single elastic strap with adjustable buckle is affixed to the reverse to hold the mask to the catcher's face. Will some rusting and age related wear are evident the mask remains in excellent condition, especially considering its advanced age. (B0212)
