Circa 1910 Ken Wel Flop Top Leather Football Helmet - Near Mint Condition

Imagine the pain inflicted when players wore helmets such as this. Offered is a Ken Wel leather helmet circa 1910.

There is a light layer of insulation on the inner half. A makeshift chinstrap is still in place. This headgear represents one of the first of its kind. We are safe in saying most of the leather headgear from this time period was used until it was in taters.

One of the few helmets from the turn of the century and this fine early example remains in almost new condition showing little to no use during its lifetime. It has to be one of the finest full leather flat top helmets extant.
