This uniform was as much fun to research as it will be to own. Although the professional "Brooklyn Orioles" date back to the late 1800s, this uniform is more likely one worn by the Brooklyn Orioles of Waterbury CT, of the Naugatuck Junior Baseball League in the 1940s and 1950s. Reference to this team can be found in the Naugatuck News from July 23rd 1946. The manufacturer's label lacks a zip code so this makes the offering a mid to late 1960s product all the more doubtful.
Made from mid grade wool based felt, the uniform remains in remarkable condition given its age Jersey size is between a size 42 and size 44; pants are a size 34.
