Lot #921:

2008 Carlos Delgado New York Mets Game Worn Jersey w/ MLB Hologram & (MEARS A10) LOA

Carlos Delgado was a steady force for the New York Mets. The dependable slugger wore this size "54" jersey when he was playing for the Mets in 2008.

An MLB hologram (LH 050278) rests on the verso "1" numeral. According to the MLB website, this was used 6/29/08 in a game which Delgado finished 1-4 with a homer. A photo on Getty Images (55228600) seems to match this very jersey, namely the pinstripe alignment.

Each of the identifiers is applied to the jersey in three-color tackle twill, including the unforgettable blue cross-hatched textured twill. The jersey is of a cool base material with lightweight material built into the underams.

The jersey remains in an unwashed state and has grass stains throughout. Worth special mention is a Shea Stadium 1964-2008 patch on the right sleeve.

Screened in the inner tail is a rubberized Majestic tag, size "54" referenc and "Taper" flag tag. The inner side gusset reveals an "0063" inventory tag and "Set 2 2008" identifier.
