2002 Sammy Sosa Chicago Cubs Signed HR #490 Batting Gloves w/ Rawlings Fielder's Mitt (MEARS LOA/JSA/Sosa LOA)

Offered are a pair of Fila batting gloves dating to circa Sammy Sosa's 2002 season with the Chicago Cubs. "21 Sosa" factory embroidered on index finger of each glove while Sosa has also signed each glove with a HR #490 inscription. Sosa hit his 490th career home run on August 12, 2002 against the Houston Astros. While we could not locate images from that game, photos from throughout the 2002 season show Sosa wearing batting gloves matching this style in both a black colorway and the blue colorway on hand. An LOA signed by Sosa will also attend. Light use shown with some fading/bleeding the signature & inscription on gloves.

In addition a Rawlings Heart of the Hide fielder's mitt will also attend. Aside from it's red & blue color scheme matching that of the Chicago Cubs mitt has no discernible link to Sosa & remains in excellent overall condition with minimal use shown. Glove is approximately 12" through pocket & fits on left hand for a right handed thrower. (02D0374)
