Lot #223:

2001 Rickey Henderson San Diego Padres Louisville Slugger Bat (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a model C271 Louisville Slugger dating to circa Rickey Henderson's 2001 season with the San Diego Padres. Bat currently measures 34", weighs 32 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, grain swelling, a taped handle and deadwood running through the center brand. While the use does not appear to be contrived & Rickey's uniform number 24 is written both on the knob and in the barrel's cupped end, MEARS is unable to attribute the use definitively to Henderson as the 125 in the center brand is underlined which is typically only found on store model Louisville Slugger bats.
