1999 Sammy Sosa Chicago Cubs Promotional Model Glove - MEARS LOA

The city of Chicago embraced Sammy Sosa like few other athletes. Slammin' Sammy was held in the same regard as Michael Jordan and Walter Payton.

This Pro-SS21 glove was made to Sosa's specifications but never saw any big league action. This custom Rawlings Gold Glove navy blue offering is complete with red stitches and constructed from Heart of The Hide leather. There is some light use to the glove but it is not attributed to Sosa.

Deer tanned cowhide was used for the hand slot. "Sammy Sosa .." is embroidered on the ring finger. The two dots following the name designate the glove as his model however it was made by Rawlings for promotional use only such as a display model, for possible signings, or etc.
