MEARS is proud to offer game worn cleats from the infamous "Mud Bowl" which was the 1996 Divisional Playoff Game between the Packers and 49ers held at Lambeau Field. The Pack prevailed 35-14 and advanced to the NFC Championship Game the following week vs. Carolina. The Packers eventually became Super Bowl XXXI Champions in 1996 and this was the legendary Playoff game that got it all started.
Offered in this lot are a pair of low-top size 11 Nike Air cleats worn by Tyrone Williams during the "Mud Bowl". The shoes show great game use, are caked with the mud of Lambeau Field and also have the proper equipment manager Red Batty's inscribed "37" written on the inside of each shoe which is consistent with Packers gamers. Proper tagging on the inside of the tongue is also present. We have 2 pair of Tyrone Williams shoes as he most like changed at the half due to conditions. Own a piece of history with these "Mud Bowl" Playoff cleats as the Packers marched their way to become Super Bowl XXXI Champions. MEARS Auction LOA.
