Longtime catcher Mickey Tettleton was an interesting figure. He was nicknamed "Fruit Loops," for his claim that the cereal helped him hit. He stood almost straight up and down when he hit, and he made a classic cameo in 1994 film Little Big League. And, if this game worn Tettleton hat is any indication, he was a trailblazer in the art of inscription.

The notable Tigers backstop spent parts of thee seasons with the Rangers at the end of his career. While there, he wore this size 7 1/4 New Era cap. Tettleton signed the brim of the cap using black Sharpie. Additionally, he provided his number (15) and the off-putting notation "F__k iT!" on the under side of the brim, also in black Sharpie. Dirt, sweat stains and pine tar throughout signify heavy use.

Here's your chance to own a (thankfully) one of a kind item once belonging to one of the more charismatic catchers of his time. JSA Auction Letter and MEARS Auction LOA included. C0262
