Offered for sale is a phenominal representation of a Kevin Seitzer game used bat, from his time with the Milwaukee Brewers. The bat contains the label period of 1991-97, but dates to the 1992 season based on Seitzer's Brewers uniform #20 on the knob. The 20 appears in worn black sharpie marker and is consistent in application to other known examples of the 20 found on Seitzer's Brewers bats. The bat was manufactured by Louisville Slugger. Seitzer requested the model C271 and this has been verified via H&B records. Bat has tremendous, heavy game use. 14" of heavy pinetar covers the knob through the left edge of the centerbrand. Remnants of County Stadium infield grass/dirt are also mixed into the heavy application of pinetar. There is heavy use found below the barrel stampings. This use is manifested via grain swelling, ball marks, and seam marks. The bat is just pounded! Obtained directly from the collection of Jim Ksicinski, Milwaukee Brewers Clubhouse manager. Although the bat is stamped Kansas City Royals, it is a carry over from the previous season and was used exclusively with the Milwaukee Brewers.
