Featured in this lot is an autographed Gary Sheffield professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from his first season with the San Diego Padres in 1992 which saw him lead the senior circuit in batting average and total bases. Model number C243 is stamped on the barrel along with Gary Sheffield and San Diego Padres in block letters while his uniform number 10 is written on the knob in black marker along with the dimensions and model number. Sheffield has also signed the barrel in blue marker along with the inscription "All Star Game 1992."

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 30 ounces, measures 34.5" in length and matches known player factory records with a cupped barrel and regular knob. It exhibits signs of light use on the reverse of the barrel with a scattering of ball and bat rack marks.

Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 1 point for use and 1 point for a documented uniform number resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.
