Offered is one of the earliest known Brett Favre Green Bay Packers home jerseys, issued to be worn during the 1992 Pre-Season. Traded from Atlanta, Favre grabbed the reigns as Green Bay’s starting quarterback.

On Sept. 20, 1992, starting quarterback Don Majkowski tore a ligament in his ankle, opening the door for 22-year-old backup Brett Favre to make his Lambeau Field debut. Favre led the Packers to a comeback win that day and started his next 297 NFL games. Majkowski never took another snap in Green Bay and signed on as a backup with the Indianapolis Colts the next season.

Offered is a Green Bay Packers home jersey which has been signed in blue marker on the reverse numeral four by legendary quarterback Brett Favre. Starter exclusive tag sewn to tail with a size 44 tag sewn in the collar while number 4 is screened to the front, back and sleeves of the green mesh jersey along with a "Favre" nameplate sewn to the reverse

Available images show Favre with cut sleeves during the regular season. Per our research, we found an undated image of Favre on the field with the full sleeve material visible underneath the bottom stripe. It is assumed this was taken during the 1992 pre-season. Therefore, this would be one of the earliest known Brett Favre shirts to have entered the market. Light but visible game wear evident. (82J0161)
