Lot #586:

1990s MINT Mickey Mantle New York Yankees Signed Hillerich & Bradsby Professional Model Bat - JSA

Mickey Mantle was the man most responsible for the autograph craze and circuit exploding in the mid '80s.

What set Mantle apart from almost everyone else is that he made time for his fans. There was no big time attitude associated with the lovable Mantle. Grown men were often in tears meeting their childhood hero. Invariably, each time Mantle scribed his name with the utmost care and the customer left happy.

Mantle signed bats for a short time before ceasing the practice in the late '80s. Offered is a rare signed Mantle bat. Blue felt tip was the instrument of choice for The Mick, high grade signature.
