Offered is a Rawlings Official American League Bobby Brown baseball which was hit for a single by Ken Griffey Jr. of the Seattle Mariners during the team's 5-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals on August 31, 1990 at the Kingdome. Junior's father Ken Griffey Sr. had a unique vantage point for the hit as he was standing on first base having singled in the previous at bat during the historic game which marked the first time a father/son duo had played together in a Major League game. Ball has been signed on the sweet spot by Junior with Senior having signed on the top of the side panel below his son. Handwritten notation on the ball indicates it originated from the collection of AL umpire Steve Palermo, who worked first base for the game, and continues to read "August 31, 1990 First Father/Son to Play in ML Game | Kingdome | Mariners 5 Royals 2" & "Ball Hit by Ken Griffey Jr. For a Single Off Pitcher Storm Davis".
