1989-92 Andre Dawson Chicago Cubs Signed Game Cap (MEARS LOA/JSA)

Offered is a Chicago Cubs cap which was donned by Hall of Fame slugger Andre Dawson during his final seasons with the club. 1989-92 circa New Era manufacturer tag and MLB Authentic Diamond Collection tags sewn in sweatband along with a size 7 1/4 flag tag while Dawson's uniform number 8 is written in black marker on both the sweatband and the interior of the left front panel. The Hawk has also signed the cap on the underside of the brim. Light to moderate use shown with some staining to the front of the sweatband. There is no provenance to support game wear by Dawson. The cap is the correct style, manufacturer, and size for the era. (62P0142)
