Offered is a Detroit Tigers cap which was donned by hurler Doyle Alexander during his 1988 campaign with the club. Alexander was acquired by the Tigers in a trade with the Atlanta Braves during the 1987 season and contributed 88 innings of 1.53 ERA mound work to their AL East Championship season, though most remember the prospect surrendered by the Tigers (John Smoltz) more than Alexander's stellar stretch performance. Era appropriate New Era & MLB Authentic Diamond Collection tags sewn in the sweatband while Alexander has signed the green underside of the brim in black marker. Heavy use shown with some sweat staining. (69W0068)
